Standing for long period can also cause back pain especially for overweight people because the weight is delivered on the lower back. That is why it would be ideal to give break to your back. Stretching is one way to relax your back as well as resting your feet on an elevated stool can also rest the lower back.

Moreover, proper sleeping position can also prevent back pain. According to the
American Academy of family Physicians, sleeping on your sides with bent knees is the best sleeping position that can avert back pain. In addition, you should also sleep on firm mattress so that you will not feel stiff upon waking up.
